June 2011: Construction of the courts at Scotter Tennis Club has been completed with some external landscaping still to be carried out. This is the culmination of seven years of planning, unsuccessful funding applications, research, fundraising activities, perseverance and hard work on the part of committee members and the village community. Eventually a bid application for £50,000 proved successful and construction started earlier this year. It is to be matched by an equal amount of money obtained through a loan which will be repaid from fundraising events organised by the tennis club.

"Organizations exist only for one purpose: to help people reach ends together that they couldn’t achieve individually."
